Ubuntu Netbook Edition How To Connect Mount Windows Shares

I would say that Canonical/Ubuntu coders staff forgot something in the Ubuntu Netbook Edition I see this in 10.04.

They forgot the Places, one place really familiar to Ubuntu users where to find the habitual way to connect to a windows server.

Well, to connect and mount a windows share, one additional step is needed.

This is How To Connect to a Windows Share with Ubuntu Netbook Edition
you go to your home folder in "Files and Folders" (File e cartelle) and you open it, it is the one with your user name.

When it has open, you can open the File menu and choose the Connect to server... or you can go to the left panel where you'll find the network icon that will allow you to browse the windows network.

When have got your share connected (this will either mount it) you can also bookmark it from the Bookmarks menu (menu Preferiti).

There is a way to got the share mounted automatically at every boot, but it is not the goal of this thread.

If this saved you some time, please drop aline in the comments.

See you
Robert
